Artist Biography
Northwest artist, Abram Shearer's passion for art started when he was very young, being inspired by his grandmother, Vivian Vogt, who was also a fine artist. He was drawing at age 3 and painting by age 4. Abram, a self-taught artist, developed his natural talent through delicate observation of nature, reading carefully selected books, common sense, and much practice. He loves to depict the female figure, wildflowers and children. His favorite mediums are watercolor, pencil, charcoal, and pastel. He has also mastered oils and acrylics.
After launching his art career professionally in the fall of 2003, Abram's works of art are now appreciated worldwide. His originals hang in the homes of collectors in both North America, and Europe . His most soughtafter works are his depictions of women, children, wildflowers, and seascapes.
It is Abram's deep desire to bring happiness, and help relieve suffering in the world through his artworks. That is why he has chosen his art as a life-time occupation. In the artist's words: "There is so much about the process of creating something beautiful that I love. When that creation reaches out and touches a person, I have reached my ultimate goal."
Special thanks from Abram:
My mother and father have been so supportive of my art, and I thank them openly! I will never forget what they have done for me. Also, thank you to all my fans, and patrons. It is your support that enables me to continue. And last, but not least, I thank all the models that I have worked with. You are all very special to me!
