Artist Biography


Northwest artist, Abram Shearer's passion for art started when he was very young, being inspired by his grandmother, Vivian Vogt, who was also a fine artist. He was drawing at age 3 and painting by age 4. Abram developed his natural talent through delicate observation of nature, years of intense art study, mindfulness, and much practice. He loves to depict the human figure, nature, and wildflowers. His favorite mediums are watercolor, pencil, charcoal, and pastel. He has also mastered oils and acrylics.

Abram's originals hang in the homes of collectors in both North America, and Europe. His most soughtafter works are his depictions of women, children, wildflowers, and seascapes.

It is Abram's deep desire to bring happiness, and help relieve suffering in the world through his artworks. That is why he has chosen his art as a life-time occupation. In the artist's words: "There is so much about the process of creating something beautiful that I love. When that creation reaches out and touches a person, I have reached my goal."
